Qualification Programme

• seminars (CRC Lecture, HIOB, lecture courses and special topic seminars, SFB Seminar, CRC research seminars, SFB PhD Seminar)
• reading groups and CRC common room
• Annual retreat in Windberg
• international conferences, workshops, winter- and summer schools
• visits of external workshops and conferences
• key skill courses and good scientific practise (in cooperation with WIN, Post Your Doc, graduate Centre Plus, and TUM Graduate School)

Mentoring

• supervision agreement for doctoral researchers (german version, english version)

Support for New Members

• German language courses (e.g. provided by th ZSK)
• organizational help (e.g. questions belonging to the "Promotionsordnung", question belonging "Umschreibungsantrag" for current Masterstudents of the UR, English translations of administrative documents for students, E-mail: certificate.translation@ur.de)
• Instructions for setting up an individual website via TYPO3 or via the web server service of the RZ
• Information for gender equality and family friendly measures of the CRC and the University (e.g. family-friendly campus, parent-child room)

Recruitment

• recruitment of doctoral researchers and of postdoctoral researchers
• short research fellowships for external PhD students

Events for Equal Opportunities

Women of Mathematics throughout Europe The Faculty of Mathematics showcased an exhibition by Sylvie Paycha and Noel Tovia Matoff, which had the goal to enable young females to find role models in the field, so they can feel enabled to pursue a career in the Mathematic field.
